Breast Cancer doesn't just happen in October. The American Cancer Society estimates that in the United States alone there will be well over 200,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer diagnosed this year. That's almost 600 new cases per day. Major accomplishments in breast cancer research have been made possible by grants from BCRF. Several new drugs are in pre-clinical or clinical development, and more than six different vaccines to treat and prevent breast cancer are also being tested. Additionally, advancements in the fight on breast cancer will have far reaching benefits in the fights on other cancers.
