Budget Beauty Tuesday: Editor’s Pick—Goody® Tanglefix™ Gentle Detangling Brush

I have an aversion to combing my hair.  It’s fine, it’s curly and it goes days in-between combings.   My ridiculous aversion to combing my hair is probably why I love wearing a hair weave as often as possible.  I think it’s genetic as well–my mom kept her hair short and ran a comb through it once a day and she had to remind my dad to comb his.  So, I guess I inherited my predilection of unkempt hair.

In the past, when I do comb or brush my hair, I have been rather irresponsible with it–brushing wet hair, starting at the root as opposed to the ends, yanking the comb through…You get the picture.  I have been hearing about this detangling brush that is all the rage, and was recently sent a Goody® Tanglefix™ Gentle Detangling Brush to review.  It changed my life.  I have a happy head of hair.

Here are the deets about Goody® Tanglefix™ Gentle Detangling Brush:

goody tanglefix brushFinally, there’s a fix! With 70% more gentle detangling* in the palm of your hands, the TangleFix brush gets through tough tangles with ease.

PRODUCT FEATURES:

• Super-flexible bristles work with the hair, not against it • 3 bristle lengths for deep detangling • Lightweight for less fatigue • Easy grip sides for better control • Dual size design for small or medium hands

My results:

I first used my Goody® Tanglefix™ Gentle Detangling Brush after about a 3 day hiatus of not combing my hair.  I sprayed a little detangler in my hair and commenced to brushing.  I started right in the middle of my head and my the brush just slid through my hair.  Not a single tangle, no pulling no tugging.

Granted, I do have “fine” hair, but it tangles so easily (even when I have been on a regimen of religious combing).  I have also used my Goody Detangling Brush after washing my hair with similar stellar results. When examining the bristles after brushing, there are very few if any hairs in them–that’s a rarity! With other brushes or combs I ordinarily have wad of hair entangled in the bristles.

I have also used this brush on my weave hair, which I also treat with equal impropriety, and it works just as well.  I have to say that I think my fear of brushing has been relieved with the use of the Goody® Tanglefix™ Gentle Detangling Brush.
