Budget Beauty: Best Concealers for Dark Skin
Concealer is a must-have for everyone.
Even if you don’t wear any other makeup, a little tube of concealer can mean the difference of looking decent and looking flawless. Or looking like you just got hit by a Mack truck and you are among the living.
With a gazillion formulas and just as many colors and brands and applicators, how do you decide what to use?
Well, among my obsessions, concealer is in the top 5, so I think I know about which I speak write.
Top 5 Budget Concealers
1. Best Color Range for Brown Skin: IMAN Cover Cream $12.99
I keep all of these concealers in my makeup kit because I never have to worry about matching one of my clients with brown skin. No ashy finish. If all else fails, I BLEND! You may want to invest in a concealer brush with this concealer as it comes in a pot.
2. Best Overall Concealer: Mary Kay Concealer $10
I want a concealer to do what it says — conceal. And as I have raved before, and as much as I hated to admit it, Mary Kay concealer covers everything. From under eye circles to blemishes, this is your go-to concealer. A tiny dot goes a very long way, so use it sparingly.
3. Best Mineral Concealer: Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer $3.99
What I like about the Maybelline line is that once you know your color, it’s consistent for other complexion products in across the board. I discovered the Mineral Power foundation some time ago (love it) and found that I get great coverage from the concealer too. Big plus for the wand applicator.
4. Best Natural Coverage: CoverGirl Queen Concealer
If you need light coverage, CoverGirl Queen Concealer is perfect. It’s ideal for all-over touch-ups in lieu of foundation.
5. Best Treatment Concealer: Black Opal Fade and Conceal $6.75
If you have discoloration, try this concealer– it has ingredients that fade dark circles and brighten complexion.

Lol I used Mary Kay makeup when I was younger and kinda strayed away…I was using a Fashion Fair concealer that I ‘m not too fond of and found my way back to the Mary Kay concealers and yep it def does the trick!
