Blush Crush: Smashbox Blush Rush in Chiffon

One of my personal quotes is, “A day with blush, is a day without sunshine.”  I love blush.  I have told my daughters that when I get really old, to please be sure that I am not overdoing it like little old ladies do, because I can’t go without it.  Actually, I refuse to go with out it; blush is in my five must-have makeup items.

Smashbox Blush Rush in Chiffon

I know that my look my best wearing a blush in the coral family.  That’s why I’m loving my new Blush Rush in Chiffon from Smashbox.  It’s the perfect pinky-peach that looks just plain gorgeous on everyone.  Blush Rush is my latest Blush Crush.

Here are the details on Smashbox Blush Rush:

What it is:
An ultra-luxurious blush.

What it does:
Get a gorgeous rush of color with this ultra-luxurious, long-wearing blush packaged in an innovative swivel mirror compact for touch ups on-the-go.

Why I love it:

photo 2Aside from being the perfect peach color, I love the addition slight shimmery finish in Chiffon Blush Rush. It gives just the right amount of highlight to my cheeks.  It’s also buildable; I have worn just a hint of color during the day, and piled it on at night!  A plus is that it shows on all tones of brown skin.  (For deepest tones, it looks like a soft highlight of muted coral on the cheekbone)

The packaging is slightly genius. I’m always complaining about the clear topped packages that show the color, yet they don’t have a mirror.  Well, with this Smashbox Blush Rush packaging, no worries with that–a cute little mirror swivels out and makes for easy application.

You have that in common with my mom…you don’t leave the house without blush. I remember being younger living at home and if we happened to be out somewhere and my mom forgot to put blush on, she acted like it was the end of the world. Haha. She would quickly dab her lipstick onto her cheeks and blend, blend, blend. I always thought she was so dramatic, but of course you know I followed right in her footsteps. This blush is really gorgeous. And because of your blog, I have also learned that corals look better on my skin tone as well. 🙂

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
