Blush Crush: Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color in Bold Berry
I love blush, but rarely do I wear blush colors outside of the coral family. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that Bold Berry Mineral Cheek Color by Mary Kay looked amazing on my skin.
Here are the details about Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color:
The mineral-based formula of Mary Kay® Mineral Cheek Color is famous for its oil-absorbing properties, ease of application and excellent coverage.
- Stay-true color defines cheekbones.
- Contains Vitamins A, C and E to help protect against wrinkle-causing free-radicals.
- Applies smoothly, easily and evenly.
- Designed to fit perfectly in the Mary Kay® Compact.
My results:
I was not expecting this blush to show up on my brown skin in such a lovely manner — but it did! The color is vibrant and melds right into my skin. There is a touch of shimmer, which I love because it makes my skin glow. For women over 50, this touch of glow is just what the doctor ordered to minimize enlarged pores and fine lines.
The color also lasts and lasts. I was surprised that at the end of the day my blush was almost as bright as it was when I applied it in the morning. (I touch my face constantly — bad habit.) This Bold Berry Blush has become part of my blush rotation, and that’s an honored position!
Pro: Good pigment, long-wearing
Con: Packaging
Price: $12
Buy Again: Yes
Packaging: 3 Blings — All of Mary Kay blushes come in a disposable plastic container, and you have to buy a compact separately to fill up with blush and shadows etc. The compact is nice, but I don’t like having to buy it separately.
Overall: 4 Blings — this would be a 5 Bling review, but the packaging brings it down. LOVE the blush though
Hero Ingredient: Vitamins A,C,E
Natural/Organic/Vegan: No
Cruelty Free: Yes
