Blinging Bride: Artistry for Pamella Roland Spring 2016 Bridal Collection

pamella roland – Spring 2016 Bridal Collection

Look created by Rick DiCecca, Global Makeup Artist for Artistry

For the Spring 2016 Bridal collection, Pamella Roland drew inspiration from the glass works of Dale Chihuly and the paper installation art of Andrea Kocks. This season, Roland’s focus on surface embellishment, such as silk organza coated in a smooth look with pearlized hand painting and embellished in Swarovski crystals is inspired by the play of textures found in the work of both artists.

  • Rick first prepped the skin with Artistry Ideal Radiance™ Illuminating Essence ($123), for instant brightening, and Artistry Ideal Radiance™ Moisture Cream ($100) for ultimate hydration.
  • Next, to even skin tone and create luminosity, Rick used Artistry Ideal Radiance™ Illuminating CC Cream (Launching May 2015) in Light/Medium on the full face, and followed with the CC Cream in Medium, applied to the hollow under the cheekbones, temples and under the chin to provide contouring.
  • Lastly, he used the Artistry Concealer Stick ($23) to eliminate any redness, and lightly dusted Artistry Exact Fit™ Perfecting Loose Powder ($32) to the center of the face to set the CC Cream.

  • To create an elegant eye, Rick used the Artistry Signature Color™ Eye Shadow Quad in Natural Glow (Launching Fall 2015).
  • First, he used Eye Shadow #3, starting at the base of the lashes and blending up to, and into the crease.
  • Then, he applied Eye Shadow #1 to the brow bone, and the inner corner of the eye.
  • Rick used Artistry Signature Color™ Longwearing Eye Pencil in Black (Launching Fall 2015) along the upper lash line, and the Artistry Signature Color™ Longwearing Eye Pencil in Brown (Launching Fall 2015) along the bottom lash line, smudging it into the lower lash base with a sponge tip.
  • He followed with a coat of Artistry Signature Eyes™ Length & Definition Mascara in Black ($26) on the upper lashes, before applying false eyelashes.
  • Cutting the lashes into three sections, he applied them to the outer corner, center and inner corner of the eyes to create definition. After the lashes had set, he finished with a final coat of mascara.
  • The brows were filled in and groomed with the Artistry Automatic EyeBrow Pencil in Taupe ($14).

Cheeks:

  • To highlight the cheeks, Rick swept Artistry Signature Color™ Blush in Soft Rose (Launching Fall 2015), over the apples of the cheeks, blending towards the temples.

Lips:

  • For the lip color, Rick first used the Artistry Automatic Lip Liner in Dusty Rose ($14) to define the lips, and followed with the Artistry Signature Color™ Lipstick in Taffeta Rose ($30), layering after with the Artistry Signature Color™ Sheer Lipstick in Tulip Pink ($30).
