Beyonce’– Blinging Beauty of the Week

I am such a slacker. I planned my Blinging Babe category for my blog months ago and haven't made one etry yet. My list is an arm long, but today I had to start with Beyonce'. You know why.

Contrast Kanye West's obnoxious display of self entitlement on the VMA's last night with Beyonce's gracious grown-up behavior. Reflecting on her own first VMA, Beyonce' invited Taylor Swift up to the stage to finish her acceptance speech. She let the TEENAGER have her time in the spotlight. (If Kanye even had a clue about how the votes work, he would realize that Beyonce' basically split the vote with the other "pop" vocalists, and allowed Taylor to be a shoe-in.)

Beyonce' used that platform, which should have been her spotlight, to show her professionalism and step up the classless behavior that seems to be de rigeur for celebrities these days. I have been such a fan of this young woman over the years for so many reaons.

The obvious reasons of course — big hair, big hips, big voice. Then of course her talent that speaks volumes without her having to grab the mic out of someone else's hand….
