I was happy when Blinging Beauty’s EIC Tracey tweeted me to ask if I could cover a blogger event in NYC. Of course I would! The two-hour Bloggerini Social took place at Lair, a nice, intimate lounge in Manhattan on February 28. With only an hour to enjoy drinks, guests took to the bar to fill up on tasty blogger-inspired drinks made with one of the night’s sponsors, Voli Vodka. My fave drink was the event namesake: the Bloggerini, which was light and sweet. Katlean de Monchy was quite the host, ushering me over to see Camille La Vie's collection of première special occasion dresses. I instantly fell in love with the line, which featured ringers for some of the beautiful dresses that hit the Oscars red carpet. Another dress line, Mori Lee, showed some of their dresses as well. Katlean then talked about her jewelry collection called De Monchy Collection which was very much something I could see myself or anyone in beautiful statement pieces along with everyday girly earrings and necklaces that any lady would be lucky to put on. Katlean did a great job in selecting and creating timeless pieces that are on trend but will also be wearable long after 2012. All in all, it was a nice event. I met some great ladies and left with a swag bag filled with Voli nail polish, a book from Savvy Auntie, Kush supports to comfort the “girls,” and a gift certificate for Camille La Vie! I capped off the night with a little Italian food with newfound blogger cohorts whom I can’t wait to reunite with.
