What I’m Loving Now: My Orange Crush—Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze

I firmly believe that "A day without blush, is a day without sunshine."  I will forgo most makeup on my minimal makeup days, but cheek color?  Heck no.  I hit the ripe old age of  55 in June, and it's just a fact of life that I need some color in my cheeks.  Particularly since I'm not participating in the activities that product a natural healthy flush— a hard workout, jogging, and that other activity that will remain nameless.

Being 55 also means that I prefer a dewy, radiant finish to my makeup, those days of powdered, matte faces are a thing of the past.  So cream blushes are a favorite. That's why I have an "Orange Crush" on  Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze.

Here are the details on Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze:

Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour is formulated to provide translucent buildable coverage for long-lasting, wearable colour, while creating naturally flushed-looking cheeks with a soft, velvety finish. The Crème Cheek Colour's silky powder allows ample play time before the product dries. Use the Crème Cheek Colour Brush to apply.

Why I'm crushing on this blush:

Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze delivers on it's claims—I love when a product explicitly states what it will do, and then it does it.  Wearing blush isn't rocket science, and Blaze cream blush is easy to use.  Even though the instructions encourage using a specific brush (separate purchase) my god-given applicators did a perfect job with application.

The color is light, yet apparent.  I am always skeptical about blush and how it will pay off for brown skin, and  Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour works!  Blaze is hot coral almost orange blush that is ideal for golden to brown complexions.

Another pitfall of cream blushes is that all too often they melt, disappear, move or just sit on top of the skin.  None of those issues arise with I wear Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze.  As a matter of fact, this blush stays beautifully in place for hours.  It is also buildable; some days I want more color, other days I want less and Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour is compliant.

A side note, I also dabbed this cheek color on my lips and topped it with a little gloss.  It's the perfect compliment.
