I am addicted to lip color. It has to be either lip balm, red lipstick or the perfect consistency of lipgloss. And there is a little niche category of lipsticks that feel and look like a lip balm that is genius. Recently CoverGirl introduced NatureLuxe, a new line that exchanges age-old ingredients for more up-to-date good-for-you ingredients. Designed by the master makeup artist Pat McGrath, Creative Director for P & G, the new gloss balm, which has SPF 15, exchanges select heavier emollients for natural mango, shea and other butters for a lighter feel. The gloss is available in 16 different shades. The suggested retail price is $6.49 each. I tried four colors of NatureLuxe Gloss Balm. Clove—sheer shimmery brown with a slight plummy undertone which is very pretty and lends to a natural looking lip. Coral— sheer yet verges more toward orange, but I love it. It’s the color that I am always searching for come summer. Pinor—like it’s name, a pretty wearable wine. Not too dark, but with just enough color for a sophisticated lip. Clay—a shimmery nude which I’m sure would be perfect for someone with lighter skin, or if I used a liner. I give these lippies 5 blings. These products were given to me for review.
