Up in Smoke: Rihanna—Fierce Smoky Red Eyeshadow

Where's there's smoke, there's fire. Makeup artists turned up the heat by engulfing lids in various blasts of red— crimson, scarlet and ruby— for Spring 2011 and Spring 2012. To successfully translate the flashy, flaming-red eyeshadow fad from the runway to real life, smoke it out for Fierce Friday.

Reigning risk taker Rihanna often collaborated with her makeup artist Karin Darnell on her instantaneous iconic makeup looks during her "LOUD" phase. The Barbadian babe was often spotted with a touch of red lip color or blush that synced amazingly well with her flaming red hair.

Rihanna wore her most daring combination at the 2011 Brit Awards. Pairing smoldering, brick-red eyes with a sleek burgundy bob, Rihanna was smoking! Shimmery, peach nude gloss and a wash of rose blush finished the Bajan bombshell's look.
