Tuesday Budget Beauty: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

So it’s budget Tuesday and I have to rant about my buys from last week.  I didn’t really hit the jackpot this week, but one out of three ain’t bad.

The Good

CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus Eye Pencil in Chestnut 212

This pencil is actually a eyeliner with a self-sharpenng tip and a smudger tip, but it was the perfect color for my eyebrows, so I picked one up at my favorite spot the Grocery Outlet for $1.99.  I love it.  It doesn’t look heavy and perfectly blends out my naturally dark brows.  Usual price varies from $5.99 to just under $10.00

The Bad

Softsoap Body Butter Apricot Scrub Moisturizing Body Wash

I’m a scrubaholic.  I like to feel the burn.  But this scrub was more body wash than scrub.  So it really do no big thing for exfoliation.  I found it to be decent applied on my pumice stone for my feet though.  I will not be buying it again. $4.99

The Ugly

Nivea A Kiss of Relief SOS Lip Care

So this lip balm has the good stuff in it — shea butter, bisobol and more and I actually like the way it feels on my lips.  But when I liberally ringed it around my lip, my 12 year old daughter asked me what happend to my lips because they were so white.  So this ranks low for me because it is completely unwearable.  I paid 99 cents for mine at the outlet. Now I think I know why.
