It’s President’s Day, and who better to look to for presidential fashion than First Lady Michelle Obama?  The First Lady was the epitome of patriotic style during January’s inaugural festivities with her stylized levels of  red, white and blue fashion sense.  She seemingly worked her way up from casual chic at the Kid’s Inaugural Concert to full-on glamazon at the President’s Inaugural Ball.

Michelle Obama wore an Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 Victorian Bustle Cotton Piquet Shirt in white, paired with skinny black pants to the Kid’s Inaugural Concert.  Her fresh haircut with straight blunt bangs and wispy ends was the perfectly accented her edgy style for the occasion.

The royal blue dress and cardigan by American designer Reed Krakoff, the president and executive creative director of Coach, Inc. worn  for President Obama’s swearing was polished, sophisticated and did not detract from the somber occasion.

However, when the First Lady appeared in a  stunning Jason Wu  halter-neck red chiffon custom gown with velvet details, she was red carpet worthy and was certainly the belle of the ball.
