Simple, yet sleek. Subtle, yet attention-grabbing. If you’re looking to spice up or tone down your look this season, nude is the way to go. Celebrities like La La Anthony, Gabrielle Union, Kelly Rowland, Ciara and Zendaya Coleman are known to rock a sassy nude lip on the red carpet. Nude lip glosses are great for both day and night and complement a dramatic eye or fresh-faced look. Women of all age and skin types can work a nude attitude.

There’s more than one way to wear a nude. The nude spectrum can fall into five main categories- whites, pinks, yellows, beiges, and brown. Though the “beige and tan” hues are still highly regarded as the “classic” nude color, makeup brands have experimented with varying shades that go against what we might originally consider nude. Consider rosy sheer pinks, lush coral tints, and even florescent lavenders.

Whatever nude you decide to rock, the key is to make sure your lips are properly exfoliated, based with concealer or foundation color, and properly lined with a complementary nude lip liner. Making sure these steps are order will leave your lip color smokin’ and ready to POP (in a subtle and sexy glamorous way, of course!) Also, make sure the color doesn’t wash out your skin color. Always opt for a nude with a pop of color when in doubt.
