Trending—Best of 2012: I Partied like a Supermodel at the Destination Iman Launch Party

There are parties, and there are parties.  If you can snag an invite to one of Iman's parties, you have arrived.  Fortunately for me, I arrived at Destination IMAN during New York Fashion Week in September 2012.  Now, I have been privy to other events hosted by Iman and her team, but this was special.  Besides the requisite red carpet, who's who of the fashion world, supermodels (yes, numero uno herself, Joan Smalls) photo ops galore, and a select group of insiders packed the Electric Room at Dream Downtown NYC.  Including moi. 

Of all the events I attended last year—my daughters beautiful wedding excluded—the launch party for Iman's latest venture, Destination IMAN is on the top of my list. Between beautiful people, chatting up Joan Smalls, sharing an iPhone charger with some sweet girls who were my daughter's age, an open bar, models galore, June Ambrose and crew, not to mention Iman herself, a lovely location and a general feeling of WOO HOO, I had a lovely time and will always remember this event.
