The Minimalist Product Review: Living Nature Clear Lights Tinted Moisturizer

Even, clear, well-moisturized skin is a must-have no matter the season. Of course, during this time of year, it can be a bit more difficult to achieve as temperatures drop and humidity declines.

I like to keep my routine fuss-free. I'm a sucker for double-duty beauty- slap on one quality product and be done with it. An indispensible product in my arsenal is a good tinted moisturizer, also a can't-live-without beauty product of Blinging Beauty editor Tracey!

My "one-minute face" is made possible in part thanks to the ease of application. For everyday use, I don't need or want much coverage and in fact often go 'bare,' so I like the organic look that tinted moisturizer gives my dark brown skin.

A self-described naturalista, I'm also interested in products that are not only simple and effective, but contain good-for-you ingredients as well. Yes, I am going even more "natural" in my efforts to avoid some of the less skin-friendly formulas that I've used and loved in the past.

In my search for a new tinted moisturizer that does the job without all the junk, I was able to try Living Nature Clear Lights Tinted Moisturizer.

The Claim for  Living Nature Clear Lights Tinted Moisturizer:

Protect and moisturise with a sheer, natural hint of colour to keep your skin looking and feeling fresh all day. Works beautifully on its own, or with Luminous Pressed Powder for extra coverage. Active Manuka Honey provides nourishment. For all skin types.

My Experience: While the shade I tried was on the lighter side, (Clear Lights) I  had absolutely no trouble blending this tinted moisturizer into my brown skin.   Evening Light is darker shade that would probably be more appropriate for brown skin, as Clear Lights simply served as a moisturizer without the tint for me.

My skin is ultra-dry, and longs for oil.  I love that Clear Lights has as the first ingredients jojoba oils, macadamia nut oils, shea butter and avocado oils.  When I put this tinted moisturizer on, my skin felt relief–like it had been give a dose of emollient hydration.

I particularly like that this tinted moisturizer is quite forgiving in color — more than one skin tone can wear more than one shade.  The scent is light and fresh and non-offensive.

Even though I'm not a big makeup girl, Living Nature Clear Lights makes my skin appear finished, like I have a little makeup secret—just the touch for a Minimalist Mommy with a 4 year-old and a baby in tow!
