The “Great Pumpkin” day is over, and maybe you have some pumpkins hanging out waiting to be put to use. If so, why not forge ahead with a little DIY skin care project. Pumpkin flesh is full of enzymes, great for exfoliating, and is a natural source of Vitamins A and C. Skyy Hadley celebrity beauty stylist and owner of As “U” Wish Nail Spa, recommends a simple pumpkin face mask for your at home facial.

pumpkinIngredients:

1.  Mix one can of pureed pumpkin in a bowl

2.  Stir in a cup of plain yogurt, 4-5 tablespoons of honey and a 1/4 teaspoon olive oil

3.  Wash face and while face is still moist apply the mask using your fingers in an upward motion

4.  Let sit for no more than 10 minutes and remove with warm water and washcloth

If you have a pimple, you can also use your leftover pumpkin for a blemish treatment:

Pumpkin contains the acne fighting vitamins E and T (aka Torulitine) and can aid in reducing pore size and preventing the appearance of pimples, blackheads and blemishes. Cut open a fresh pumpkin and slice it you would a cantaloupe. Rub the fleshy side against your face after cleansing twice a day for healthier looking skin.

If you are a lazy girl, try a pumpkin mask already whipped up and good to go!

I don’t have any pumpkins, but I’m into trying different facials. My skin is yearning to be rejuvenated, esp since I’ve been working crazy long hours

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
