Spa(ahhh) Day Sunday: DIY Citrus Body Wash & Made From Earth Vitamin E + Citrus Body Gel

For the average person, the day begins and/or ends with a bath or shower. I happen to have a daughter who prefers shower gel to bar soap, and that stuff can get pricey. I was glad to stumble upon a body wash recipe (which I tweaked) that yields around three quarts. It’s the perfect way to treat yourself on a Spa(ahhh) Day Sunday.

DIY Citrus Body Wash

Materials:

1 Bar pure Castile soap bar (with a citrus scent) grated

Try: Dr. Bronner’s Citrus Orange Castile Bar Soap

12 cups of purified water

2 Tablespoons organic glycerin

Optional: Citrus essential oil

Tools:

Boiler

Old body wash bottles

Instructions:

Bring the water to a soft simmer, add the soap and stir until completely melted.
Turn off heat and add glycerin and stir.
Cover and allow to set for 24 hours.

After 24 hours, add 20 drops of essential oil, or to your liking.
Add the soap to an old body wash bottle or a flip top plastic bottle. (I don’t recommend glass for the shower or bath)

Now, if you are lazy like me, there is no way you are going to spend you time making body wash when you can just buy it. So, if you are going to spend your hard-earned cash on a citrus body wash, try Made From Earth Vitamin E + Citrus Body Gel (wash).

Lately, my typically clear skin has become unrecognizable. My low-maintenance facial routine couldn’t contend with my new facial issues: erupting pimples all over, stubborn dry patches on my cheeks, and oily areas on my forehead and nose. My face went completely haywire overnight it seemed, and the usual routine just wasn’t cutting it! Confession: I’ve been slacking on my sloughing-—big time. Life has been so hectic lately that I’ve pretty much abandoned my regular exfoliation routine, and it shows.
