Product Review—Makeup: Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner Single in Midnight

It’s no secret that I love black eyeliner—it’s a staple in my personal makeup kit. As a matter fact, when I opened up my makeup bag the other day, I noticed that I had several black eyeliners in my stash. But one of my black eyeliners in particular has been a standout for me, and I go to it first and foremost these days.

Contrary to popular belief, every eyeliner is not created equal—whether it’s pencil, liquid, gel, cream, cake—every formula is different. So, when it comes to pencil eyeliners, my preference is one that is smooth, almost liquid-like in application, and that above all, is waterproof.  I’ve been given several products from Mally Beauty to review, and one of them was her Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner Single in Midnight (black). Let me just say that it is, in Mally-speak, “Fiercely Gorgeous!”

Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner Single in midnight reviewHere are the details about Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner Single in Midnight:

Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner Singles:

Special formula glides onto lid and locks into lower rim to beautifully define your eyes.

Glides on easily without a shadow base, yet lasts all day. They are rich, full, and give a strong coverage. Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner Singles can be used over, under, or in the inner rim of the eye.

My results:

Black eyeliner was one of my first makeup must-haves as a teenager.  Yup, I was one of those girls lighting a match to the pencil to get it to glide on.  “Back in the day,” eyeliner was so hard, it was nearly torturous to apply.  Now that I’m 55, the last thing I want is an eye pencil tugging at my eyelids!  Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner does not tug!  As a matter of fact, it glides on so smoothly, you would swear it was a cream or gel liner.  That’s major for me.

Secondly, when I’m doing full-on black eyeliner, I like to line my eyes under, over and inner.  Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner does the job of lining in the waterline without a hitch.  I mean, I actually go overboard with the lining… The good news is that there is no irritation (I suffer from dry eyes), no watery eyes, and no drippy fall-out during the day—this liner stays in place.

I was in New York  for Fashion Week last week, and I have to admit that I slept in my makeup, eyeliner included.  More than once. Translation: The waterproof element of  Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner is nothing short of amazing. (If I were back in college, I would have just cleaned up around my eyes and gone back  out.)

Last but not least, I love when my black eyeliner is black to the nth degree.  Blacker than black.  And Midnight Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner is black, black, black.  Like I like my coffee.  Like I like my man.  Like I like my clothes.  Like I like my eyeliner.
