I'm such a nail polish fanatic, and I especially love glitter nail lacquers! Glitters are especially great when giving your nails a break from gels, acrylics, wraps, overlays, etc because they offer great coverage and conceal dents and uneven nail beds left behind from various nail lengthening/strengthening techniques.
So, when I was sent Jordana Glitters Specialty Nail Polish in Blue Bash, I was excited to try it out.
The Claim for Jordana Glitters Specialty Nail Polish :
This multi-shaped, multi-sized, multi-colored glitter polish claims to offer superior wear that can be worn alone or over your favorite nail polish.
The Jordana Glitter I reviewed in Blue Bash has me doing the Happy Dance! This glitter polish is thick and heavy on the glitter. The combination of fine to medium chunksof glitter set in a clear polish was perfect for smooth and intense coverage and didn't require me to have a super steady hand. I just went around the cuticles with my nail and wiped the excess away with no problem. I applied three coats (I'm a little heavy-handed on products), and I was good-to-go.
Another thing I noticed is depending on the lighting, sometimes the polished looked Royal Blue, other times it looked Turquoise. For me this was a plus. The more versatile the better!
Now, I will say that you have to give this polish ample time to dry, which is usually the case with most glitters. But once they dry completely they should be pretty durable and last for a few days before obvious chipping starts to occur.
Pro: So many, where do I begin!
- Beautiful and intense colors,
- Even & Full Coverage
- Economical – Only $2.99
Cons: It's not a quick-dry, like most polishes that are recently hitting the beauty market. But this is not a deal-breaker because most glitters need ample drying time.
Buy Again: Yes
Packaging: 2 Blings—I adore beautiful packaging – Jordana leaves much to be desired in that aspect. The bottle looks rather "Beauty Supply Store-ish" for such a quality product. Also, depending on the color of the polish, the silver wording on the bottle is barely legible.
Overall: 4.0 Blings
