Choosing a quality eyeshadow on a budget can be a sticky wicket. There are some important factors to consider: the texture of the shadow, the pigment level, the colors in the palette and of course the price. I have tried some palettes and been pleasantly surprised, and others have been a total bust.
One that I recently tried for myself and on others is IMAN Eye-Con Collection. $35
The Eye-Con Kit Collection contains 12 shadow shades that take your look from day to night with hues that span the spectrum from muted to vivid. Broken up into 4 trios of blendable colors — shimmering Golden Romance, smoldering Edgy Emerald, classic Classic Smoky, and radiant Cool Violet — the kit takes the guesswork out of creating a dazzling eye look.
The palette also features a brow and jet black eye liner for defining and comes complete with easy-to-follow instructions.
Why I love it:
This palette makes it simple to create four distinct makeup looks with the trios of color. And of course, when you start doing your makeup artist thing, you can experiment and mix the colors — no need to stay within the boundaries of the set three colors. I have worked with the palette on a variety of skin tones and colors and it the colors are intensely true to what you see in the palette.
