Product Review—Hair: SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Hair Serum
Here are the details about Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Hair Serum $10.99:
What it is:
An intensive serum perfect for those who regularly color, straighten, perm or heat style their hair, as well as kinky, curly, or wavy natural styles. It nourishes the scalp and hair. Revives dull, damaged or chemically treated hair. Promotes growth by strengthening and conditioning hair, increasing resistance to breakage. Rosemary Oil stimulates the scalp to help support healthy hair growth.
Usage:
Massage a few drops gently into scalp as often as needed. Do not rinse out. Style as desired. For a restorative hot oil treatment , massage gently into scalp and hair. Cover with a plastic cap and apply medium moderate heat for 5 to 15 minutes depending on your hair’s condition. Shampoo and condition after treatment. Style as desired.
Featured Ingredients:
- Organic Shea Butter – Deeply moisturizes while conditioning hair and scalp.
- Jamaican Black Castor Oil – Loaded with reparative omegas that promote healthy hair growth.
- Rosemary Oil – Stimulates scalp circulation to help support healthy hair growth.
Why I love it:
Unlike other hair serums I have used, Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Hair Serum is applied right to the scalp. The premise is that the serum will stimulate hair growth and will strengthen the hair. Well, the premise is a reality for me. My hair is denser at the scalp — I think that’s because my hair is growing in fuller and thicker. I’m so happy for this because since I went through chemotherapy, my hair has been quite thin.
I also find that my hair is shiny and much stronger than before I used it. My way of judging my hair’s strength is my little is the “stretch the hair” test. My hair now stretches much longer before it snaps. And when it does snap, it has that nice little curl to it!
I love that this serum is so light that sinks into my hair as opposed to sitting on top. Tip: The “residue” on my hands I massage into my cuticles!
I haven’t tried the hot oil treatment yet, but I plan on it and will update this post when I do.
