Product Review—Hair: EDEN BodyWorks COCONUT SHEA Control Edge Glaze—I’m in Control!

I’m pretty much a ponytail girl when the weather gets warm or when I’m in between weaves. I also happen to have frizzy hair, particularly around my edges where my grey hair is extremely non-cooperative.

Enter hair gel–a lifesaver for keeping my curly hair under control on my lazy girl ponytail days. I hate to admit it, but I have been a closeted user of that gross, gooey brown gel. I know, I know. But when you are fighting the battle of the frizz, that stuff works, with the bonus that it’s covers those greys! But, of late, I have left my shallow ways and have been rocking my grey hair (edges), even when I wear my weave.

My results:

My slicked back hair looks just lovely when I use EDEN BodyWorks COCONUT SHEA Control Edge Glaze, without feeling sticky, hard or crunchy. There is no unsightly flaking after the fact. And, I love that I can skip days when using this glaze/gel. I just wet my hair a bit and start over again. I have also used it daily, with the same great results, no nasty buildup.

I have “soft” hair, but it’s very curly, so it can be quite resistant to “laying down.” I love that this gel keeps in it place and when I comb it out, it actually defines my curls, sans frizz. There is also another natural hair gel with a similar formulation that sells for over twice the price of Eden’s, but why spend more when you can have this one for less? If you ask me, I will tell you the brand….
