Product Review—Hair Care: EDEN Body Works COCONUT SHEA Leave In Conditioner

My hair is as natural as it gets.  I have a lot of thick coarse hair (my mom broke a brush in my hair when I was 4), and I depend on lots of conditioners to keep my hair in control.  Deep conditioner, leave in conditioner, daily conditioner… the list never ends.  I wear my hair in twists or a twist out for the most part, with an occasional flat iron when I’m trying to get fancy.

My hairdresser keeps telling me how dry my hair is, so I have been looking for a leave in conditioner which helps with this problem.  So, I was quite happy to review EDEN Body Works COCONUT SHEA Leave In Conditioner for my mom aka “The Blinging Beauty.”

Eden Body works Coconut Shea Leave in conditionerHere’s the basics about EDEN Body Works COCONUT SHEA Leave In Conditioner:

Coconut Shea Leave In Conditioner is a daily conditioning treatment formulated with one of nature’s best moisturizers, coconut oil blended with shea butter to lock in moisture and revitalize tresses. Rich in fatty acids, which are great for softening and renewing damaged hair.

Key Ingredients: COCONUT OIL, SHEA BUTTER

My results:

The texture of EDEN Body Works COCONUT SHEA Leave In Conditioner made me a little nervous at first,  because the lotion formula is kind of sticky.  I was worried it would make my hair hard or crunchy but it made my hair totally soft.  I used this leave in conditioner for a twist out as well as just on my hair when I pulled it back.

Each time my hair felt softer, even after only  two days of using doing the leave in conditioner as a daily conditioner.  And that’s a much better result  than I have gotten with other spray leave ins.  It smells like coconut, which I guess is appropriate–nothing spectacular. When using it in small portions like individual twists, I like to pour some out into a cap or something so I don’t have to squeeze some into my hand each time and risk pouring too much.

The consistency really isn’t my favorite, although it doesn’t affect the product at all.  Overall EDEN Body Works COCONUT SHEA Leave In Conditioner is good, especially for the price and ingredients. It has become a favorite for my twists.

I want to try this. I like the smell of coconut and like to use leave in conditioners. Now to just find which store it is at.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
