Product Review—Hair: African Pride Shea Butter Miracle (Moisture Intense) Buttery Crème

OK … I have to admit that my Two Strand Twists don’t always look right. I call them my Struggle Strand Twists lol! I don’t blame any product for the inability of my hair to hold the “perfect” twist because that’s just how my hair is. However, African Pride Shea Butter Miracle (Moisture Intense) Buttery Crème is a hair moisturizer that works well for natural twist styles.

Here are the details about African Pride Shea Butter Miracle (Moisture Intense) Buttery Crème $2.99:

African Pride Shea Butter Miracle (Moisture Intense) Buttery Crème PhotoWhat it is/What it does:

SHEA BUTTER MIRACLE™ gives amazing manageability, softness and shine to naturally Curly, Wavy, Kinky-Coily Mixed Textures. Perfect for Transitioners.

Enriched with Shea Butter, Nature’s superior detangling moisturizer. Helps eliminate dryness enhancing body, bounce and shine.

Regular Use of BUTTERY CRÈME helps:

  • Nourish & Soften Curls, Coils and Waves
  • Stretch & Elongate Curls and Kinky-Coils
  • Moisturizes hair and Scalp

Usage Directions:

Rub a generous amount of crème between your palms. Gently finger comb section-by-section from roots to ends. Continue stretching and elongating curls until satisfied with your curl definition.

Naturally Styling Suggestions:

Try a Two Strand Twist by applying crème to damp or dry hair, twisting each section. The more you twist the more you define the size and length of the curl. Air dry, blow dry w/diffuser or dry under hood. Untwist each section for a fuller look or just leave twisted for tighter look.

My Experience:

I won African Pride Shea Butter Miracle (Moisture Intense) Buttery Crème from a giveaway I entered a while ago…

African Pride Shea Butter Miracle (Moisture Intense) Buttery Crème is a thick, very very lightly-colored off-white cream – you can flip the container upside down and it won’t drip. It smells sweet and is a bit on the perfumey side, but in a good way. The fragrance actually lasts in your hair all day, and it’s not overwhelming. It comes in a 6oz tub where you have to scoop it out of the container.

I have been using this for at least two weeks now, and I must say that it is not much different from other buttery crèmes I have used. I have a range of hair types on my head – ranging from 3b to 4c – and I have been natural since 2005, so that means I have gone through TONS of hair products … ehh em I am a recovering product junkie!

African Pride Shea Butter Miracle (Moisture Intense) Buttery Crème works like other buttery crèmes, which means that it works and now it’s all about preference. I like it; and now I have an added option for an inexpensive buttery crème. It’s soft on my hair and helps to maintain the moisture that us naturally kinky-coily-curly haired ladies need. A little goes a long way; otherwise, if you use too much, then the product may sit on top of your hair and cause product build-up and no one wants that! So use sparingly…

It’s inexpensive, and I say it’s worth a try! Trying new products is fun, well, for me it is! Let me know if you decide to give African Pride Shea Butter Miracle (Moisture Intense) Buttery Crème a try (or if you have already tried it), and share your experience in the comments below!
