New York Fashon Week Spring 2014: Backstage Beauty— Red Carpet Manicure at Christian Siriano Spring 2014 Runway Show
Red Carpet Manicure, the world’s first at home LED gel manicure system, strutted down the runway of Mercedes Benz’s New York Fashion Week as the official nail sponsor of Christian Siriano’s Spring 2014 show at The Eyebeam Atelier held on Saturday, September 7th.
Celebrity manicurist and Red Carpet Manicure brand ambassador, Lisa Logan collaborated with Siriano to create a custom, color-block manicure that highlighted the theme of the collection.
Utilizing existing colors, Logan prepped each nail with “Fake Bake” for a base color, and intricately color blocked the nail with small boxes made with “The Perfect Pair,” underneath which she layered “White Hot,” adding an extra pop to the neon yellow.
“After seeing the colors and prints and collaborating with Christian, I knew we had to do something that was as dramatic and powerful in the lightest way possible to match the collection itself,” said Logan. “Red Carpet Manicure’s products are so easy to work with and enable not only manicurists like myself, but the everyday consumer, to translate trends seen at New York Fashion Week into nail art statements.”
Christian Siriano’s Spring 2014 collection is primarily inspired by a recent trip to Mexico’s Isla Mujures, which translates to the island of women. Siriano was influenced by the shapes and imagery of grass-lined huts, picturesque color-blocked residential streets, stonework and the locally abundant dahlia.
