Monday Means Makeup: It’s Raining — Try Waterproof Eye Makeup
Whether it’s a red carpet occasion, working it out at the club or rain from up above, waterproof eye makeup know-how is a must.
So how can you have celebrity worthy waterproof eye makeup?
Here are my top 5 picks for waterproof eye makeup:
1. Waterproof Eyebrows
I am an eyebrow fanatic. It seems to be the first no second (teeth are first) thing that I notice about a person. Prefect eyebrows insure that you have much less to do with your eye makeup in general. They frame the face, give lift ( if shaped correctly) and bring eyes to life.
Try:
Make Up For Ever Waterproof Eyebrow Corrector
A waterproof eyebrow defining cream in a tube. $19 Apply with a stiff angle brush. Fills, defines, and intensifies brows with natural-looking, stay-put color. The result remains flawless throughout the day and holds up under all conditions (water, heat, etc).
2. Waterproof Eyeshadow
Creamy waterproof eyeshadow forumlas are wonderful. If you have oily eyelids, or crepy eyelids or if your eyeshadow tends to fade, long-wearing waterproof formulas are for you.
Try:
Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Colour $22
Lush metallic color floats across the eye leaving a gorgeous, shimmering sheen. High metallic pearl. Waterproof, lightweight, and non-greasy. All of the colors are perfect for a sultry summer eye, but my favorites are Alloy and Burnished Copper. With the easy-to-use cream formula, all you need are your fingers to create a beautiful summer eyeshadow look!
3. Waterproof Eyeliner
I can’t imagine living without eyeliner, it’s a mainstay in my cosmetic wardrobe. I am partial to changing my eyeliner colors up however. I love black eyeliner, but I am not a fan of wearing black day-in day-out. That’s why I LOVE Jet Set Eyeliner by Smashbox. They offer several alternatives of color, like the purple pictured here and they are sweat-proof!
Try:
Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner $22 Waterproof, smudge-proof eye liner. Line and define the eye with this gel-formula that glides over the lid without pulling or tugging. The quick-dry formula sets quickly and stays put all day. You can even line the inner membrane with this liner. LOVE IT!
4. Waterproof Mascara
So everyone knows that I am a L’Oreal mascara freak, it’s cheap and it works.
This waterproof 4-in-1 formula (lengthening, curling, volumizing and conditioning) gives you the bombshell lashes you love, and is guaranteed to stay put through rain, sweat or tears.
5. Concealer
I am also a little obsessed when it comes to under eye circles. When I put my concealer on, I want it to stay. That’s why I use on myself and my clients Make Up For Ever Full Coverage Concealer. $30 If the price seems hefty, it’s not. I tiny dot goes a very long way. You have to try this! I even mix it with moisturizer and create my own tinted moisturizer.
An ultra long-lasting, matte finish, oil-free, waterproof, full coverage concealer. Designed to cover major imperfections like scars, hyperpigmentation, major discoloration, burns, and tattoos. This light and creamy concealer contains a high concentration of pigments that stay put, making it perfect for use on the face, as well as the body.
There you have it, 5 steps to easy waterproof eye makeup. I’m sure if you try these tips, you too will have blinging eye makeup for sweatproof, waterproof summer beauty.

I’m scared too death of joining Facebook or Twitter. (I’m sure I’ll spend hours on the computer while my daughter and husband cry out in hunger and neglect.)
No, I stick to blogging. That’s why I try to post so much, if you’re only going to do one thing you better do it well.

We have the same taste! I used the same picture of Monique on my blog today! Her makeup is gorgeous.
What’s your take on waterproof mascara? It seems to make my lashes drier, but I’ve heard all the makeup artists say they prefer waterproof mascara because it builds faster. What do you think?

Hi Katrina
thanks for stopping by! I don’t like waterproof for everyday. Just as you said it makes lashes drier. Sam posted on facebook how he did Mo’Nique makeup. Are we FB friends?
