Being the beauty newbie that I am, it usually takes me a while to cosign on beauty products that have already earned a cult following. With that said, please don't ridicule for just discovering the brilliance of NARS Blush in Taj Mahal.
I knew it had to be something spectacular when celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine crowned it as "the blush to have for summer" last year on Twitter. Fast-forward to June 2011: I received this coveted shade in the mail and the rest was herstory!
The beauty of NARS blushes is the mega pigment factor—making them ideal for women of color. So this woman of color got to try Taj Mahal, a bold take on orange (as if orange could get any bolder). The sheer shimmer factor and intense pigmenation translate to a fabulous, I am the sugar honey iced tea type of luminescence that will dazzle the masses.
NARS describes Taj Mahal as "blazing burnt orange with gold shimmer" so I suggest you set your cheeks on fire with this blush that's hotter than lava.
Pros: highly pigmented, courageous color, sexy shimmer
Cons: zero, nada, zilch, none
