It’s National Chocolate Day: Our Favorite Cocoa Cosmetic Confections

Are you a chocolate lover?  What's your preference? Four layer chocolate cake drizzled with chocolate ganache?  Or maybe just one perfectly decadent chewy chocolate brownie.

When I worked in San Francisco, I would often end my day with one perfect creamy Chocolate Champagne Truffle from Teuscher's.  Somehow as I'm typing this, the perfect chocolate seems to be around 6'1" and 225 lbs.  I'm thinking Idris Elba.

You have to admit he's one hunk of chocolate.

Chocolate is often given a bad rap—that it gives you pimples. FALSE!  Or that "white" chocolate is really chocolate.  NOT!

However, there are some great benefits to indulging in a cocoa treat occasionally.

For example, research has shown that allowing chocolate to melt in your mouth produced brain and heart rate activity that was simliar to – and even stronger than – that produced with passionate kissing.  Obviously they were not kissing in Idris. Wait, I'm having a moment…

Or, that single chocolate chip can provide enough energy for an adult human to walk 150 ft.  Don't give your dog chocolate, it's deadly for the canine species.

Now, when it comes to chocolate in beauty, I have a few favorites in that category as well.
