Headlines: 5 Hair Oils Your Hair Needs Now

I am so glad that it’s once again “acceptable”  to use oil on my hair.  Growing up black, I was accustomed to having my scalp and hair almost ritualistically oiled. And you know what? My hair and scalp were healthy.

With the advent of blow dryers and spray sheen or oils, I got away from using heavy oils or “grease” on my hair.  And I have to tell you, I still miss that blue bergamot hair dressing. I can smell it as I write this.

Today, hair oils have evolved. Yes, old school hair oils are still here, but I have found that my natural hair responds best to lightweight natural and organic oils.

Since I  have been blogging, I have been privileged to use more than a few hair oils. So, I complied my list of five favorite hair oils.

1.  FAR Botanicals Triple Infused Verde Serum Oil $32

FAR Botanicals Triple Infused Verde Serum Oil

This soft, silky serum is an Essential Fatty Acid-rich blend of several exquisite oils and triple-infused botanical extracts designed to penetrate, strengthen and soften the hair shaft. A small amount is all that is required to add instant shine, curl definition and frizz control to your mane. It sinks in quickly, restoring elasticity to brittle hair, while the presence of Olive Squalane allows it to moisturize beneath your hair’s cuticle. Triple infused with Indian Gooseberry (Amalaki), Moss Extract and Cassia Ariculata, Verde makes an excellent sealing treatment, heat styling oil and deep conditioning treatment. Because it is so light, it can also be used daily as a shine serum and protective oil for fragile ends. Unlike many other popular premium hair oils, Verde is 100% silicone and mineral oil free.

Pureology’s Precious Oil is a versatile, caring formula that helps colour-treated hair achieve maximum softness, shine and colour protection. Through the breakthrough OLEO ANTIFADE COMPLEX it equalizes porosity, restores manageability and replenishes the protective lipid layer to enhance colour vibrancy.
Precious Oil contains 100% biodegradable ingredients in a paraban and silicone free formula, earning it the prestigious GREEN SEAL certification.

I could very well be the only person who does not understand the difference when it comes to hair oils. I get so confused on what I am looking for. I need to do some more research to find one that is right for me. But this list does help, that’s why I love blogs.
