Halle Berry is one of the women that I am obsessed with watching on the red carpet—I’m always excited to see what she’s wearing, for better or for worse. Her last two outings she had this split personality thing going on with a mini skirt melded into a long gown thing. I didn’t really like either one.
However, Halle did not disappoint yesterday at the Oscar’s. I have to say that she was abosolutely stunning in her sparkly nude Marchesa dress with a tulle train. She was flawless. This photo where Halle is looking over her shoulder is proof-positive that she does not have a bad side.
(I am distracted by that get-up in front of her. Why is that woman wearing a print with palm branches cupping her butt? And that one to the side is hideous as well—asymmetry at it’s worse.)
I also noticed that Halle has been bumping up the notch with her eye makeup—doing a dark brown-bronzey smoky eye, which is gorgeous.
He hair is still smoking-hot in her signature crop.
I love that she kept her jewelry to a minimum, allowing her dress to shine.
I think Halle showed grown-up style and restraint. We all know she has a bomb body, and this dress showcased it while channeling old Hollywood glamour at the same time. I think it’s interesting to see Halle’s physical changes since she won her Oscar in 2002 for Monstor’s Ball. She is actually leaner now (wish I could say the same), and in my opinion more beautiful. Although that Elie Saab dress she was wearing is now a legend…
