There are two skin care products that I refuse to live without — moisturizer and sunscreen. So, naturally, being the double-duty product lover that I am, I was thrilled to try out Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 Protect + Perfect, because not only do I love products that multitask, I’m a genuine fan of green skin care.

Why I love it:

When I first pumped Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 out of the bottle I was a little afraid of the color — it resembles a tinted moisturizer for a light to medium toned skin, not a product for brown skin. BUT…that didn’t deter me from trying it and I’m glad I did. This moisturizer absorbs amazingly well, and the color disappears right into my skin. It leaves a smooth velvety finish on the skin and actually gives the skin a rather even tone.

This lightweight moisturizer leaves my skin feels so moist without any residue. I love that. Additionally, my skin looks radiant and hydrated for hours. Since this is an SPF 47, I’m covered when I’m in the sun for a several hours without reapplying and that is amazing. Women with brown skin shouldn’t be afraid to try this moisturizer, even though the primary sunscreens in the moisturizer are titanium dioxide and zinc oxide — both natural SPFs.

Using the moisturizer over the course of about a month, my skin looks more even toned and luminous. I think this is a great option for a sunscreen/moisturizer for women with sensitive skin who tend to have redness as well, since it does have a touch of color to it.
