Get the Look: Beyoncé Golden Glow at 2011 Billboard Awards

Blond bombshell Beyoncé was rocking her golden girl glow glam at the 2011 Billboard Awards last night. I cannot say one negative thing about this young woman.  Although I’m not particularly fond of an anthem for girls that capitalizes on the use of the word “motha”, I admire this Beyoncé’s ability to keep it new and fresh.

Her makeup and hair however are now iconic and classic. We have seen her with varying colors, textures and lengths of blond hair over the years, and I like ’em all.  Beyoncé’s makeup last night was a soft smoky bronze eye paired with her signature nude lips.  Of course her skin was flawless.

This “golden glow” is a look that anyone can wear, day or night.

Here’s how to get your Golden Glow in 5 steps!

1.  Prep

Use a luminizng foundation primer that even imparts glow, evens tone and texture and helps makeup last longer.

Try: Smashbox Photo Finish Luminizing Foundation Primer $38

I LOVE this primer–it’s gives the most beautiful golden glow with or without makeup.

2.  Even Skin

Use  foundation and concealer  that perfect skin, not hide it.

Try: Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation $34

This foundation is so pigment potent foundation that you only need a little to get flawless coverage.

Try: Fusion Beauty IllumiCover Line Smoothing Luminous Concealer $36

My new favorite concealer—it totally brightens the under eye area.

3.  Highlight  Cheeks

Use an apricot toned blush with a golden glow.

Try: Too Faced Peach Leopard Brightening & Perfecting Bronzer $28

It’s the perfect mix of color and glow, ideal for brown skin.

4.  Get Eyes in Focus

Instead of the traditional black and grey smoky eye, use brown and bronze shimmers to achieve an updated look.  The key is keeping your deepest color below the crease and wrapping around your lower lashes.

Try: CoverGirl CoverGirl Smoky Shadow Blast Shadow Stick, Bronze Fire $8.49

I love these sticks– they are so easy to use and a great price.

Add lots of mascara top and bottom.

5.  Gloss Lips

Use a nude gloss with a pink undertone.
