Friday Fragrance Find: Try Jessica Simpson Signature Eau de Parfum for Your Spring Fragrance

If you are anything like me, you probably have fragrances that you prefer for fall and winter versus spring and summer.  While I never really deviate from the warm, woodsy family of fragrance, I will wear one that has more floral or citrus notes during spring and summer months. I recently tried  Jessica Simpson Signature Eau de Parfum and was so impressed with the quality of the scent, that I think it’s the perfect Friday Fragrance Find:

Jessica Simpson SignatureIn collaboration with Parlux, Jessica Simpson is launching the new fragrance with her name in August 2014. The fragrance has been announced as gourmand. “There is something about this fragrance that takes me to another place. It is exciting, sophisticated and much more mature,” stated Jessica Simpson.

The new perfume Jessica Simpson has been created in collaboration with Givaudan and perfumer Marypierre Julien. Top notes open with juicy citruses, clementine, nectarine, pomegranate and apricot. The heart incorporates night blooming jasmine, orange blossom and Tiger lily, on a base of tonka, chocolate, vanilla, sandalwood and driftwood.

Fragrance Jessica Simpson arrives in a crystal drop-shaped flacon with a stopper wrapped in a golden-colored peacock feather.

Why it’s such a find:

Jessica Simpson Signature Eau de Parfum has all those base notes that I love — Tonka, chocolate, vanilla, sandalwood and driftwood, so it works well with my chemistry and lingers. However, the citrus top notes give it a lighter approach, which makes it perfect for spring. The citrus and woods meld perfectly together to make a scent that can be worn for day, or even better, for a night out.

I of course had to get the male perspective on Jessica Simpson Signature Eau de Parfum, and the concensus was that it was “sexy”, “appealing”, “intriguing” — all the must-have attributes for any fragrance that I wear. Added bonus — since this is an Eau de Parfum, you get extended wear from it. It lasts an entire day, and scents my clothes as well.

I have to comment on the bottle and the juice too. I love a rounded bottle, it feels right in my hand, and  the gold stopper just adds to the elegance of the design. The “juice” is a faint pink, which makes the fragrance look so pretty and feminine, that it deserves a spot on the vanity!
