Friday Fragrance Find: L’Occitane Jasmin-Immortelle Neroli Eau de Toilette

I love transitioning my fragrances by the seasons. I still love a warm woodsy scent, but for fall and winter, I go a bit deeper with the notes. I was recently sent L’Occitane Jasmin-Immortelle Neroli Eau de Toilette and it’s absolutely beautiful.

About L’Occitane Jasmin-Immortelle Neroli Eau de Toilette $62

Loccitane JASMIN-IMMORTELLE NEROLI EAU DE TOILETTELuminous, angelic, sensual… The Jasmine-Immortelle-Neroli floral fragrance is both innocent and heady.
Floral and absolutely feminine, the jasmine scented fragrance of pastry chef Pierre Hermé balances the white notes of gardens at dawn with the gold of a flower that still flourishes throughout the Corsican maquis.
Sparkling head notes bring an unexpected sensation. In one deep breath, Lemon and Petit grain tantalize the palate as they come into contact with Pink Pepper and offer up a breeze of fresh air.
The exhilarating heart of this bouquet blends the floral note of Jasmine and the softness of Orange Blossom with the wild, honeyed and aromatic scents of an armful of Immortelle from Corsica. This is a floral fragrance that captures the scent of the Island of Beauty, swept up in woody and musky notes.
Pierre Hermé, the “Picasso of Pastry”, began his career at the age of 14, working as an apprentice for Gaston Lenôtre, where he excelled in his training. Ten years later, his name had spread throughout the world. With pleasure as his only guide, he revolutionized even the most firmly entrenched traditions and invented a world of tastes, sensations and pleasures. In 1997, he founded the company Pierre Hermé Paris with Charles Znaty, establishing himself as the creator of Haute-Pâtisserie.
In 2015, his friend, Olivier Baussan invited him to compose a collection of scents just the way he wanted. “When I created these fragrances, it all came down to taste.”
The result? Beautifully crafted complex fragrances, living memories of the lands of the Mediterranean and the island of Corsica so loved by both men.

Why I love it:
First is the gorgeous packaging. We fall in love with our eyes first right? Well, the cylindrical box that Jasmin-Immortelle Neroli Eau de Toilette comes in is so pretty and delightful that I’m looking for a reason to reuse it! Then there is the simple, yet elegant bottle that holds this lovely fragrance. You will be proud to display it on your vanity. It’s heavy and at the same time feminine.
Now, for the juice…L’Occitane Jasmin-Immortelle Neroli Eau de Toilette smells simply divine. Starting with a sweet peppery note that descends into florals with Jasmine being at the forefront. And the dry down is my favorite part. Neroli is apparent and the woody muskiness of the scent makes it so warm and wonderful.
I love that I can spritz Jasmin-Immortelle Neroli Eau de Toilette in the morning and it’s still aromatic hours later. This has easily become a favorite fragrance of mine. L’Occitane says it’s limited edition, but I hope it’s here to stay. I truly believe it can last as an iconic fragrance for our time.
