Follow Me On My Pharmaca Weight Challenge Journey

pharmaca store frontI have pretty much fought with my weight all my adult life. When I was younger I thought I was fat, when in fact I was the ideal weight and shape for me. Over the years I learned to “diet”, the wrong way.

And I have done every diet out there – the master cleanse, grapefruit, cabbage soup. Dr. Atkins, Weight Watchers and more. None with any long-term success. So, needless to say, I have been up and down for all my adult life.

Now, I’m up in weight, but have decided to do things differently. I was offered an opportunity to participate in a weight challenge with Pharmaca. This fabulous opportunity includes consultations with a nutritionist and a gift card to get me going on the right supplements to help me reach my goal.

We pretty much talked and he did an intake on my habits, what I ate and what my goals were. What I appreciated was that Anthony (a nutritionist and personal trainer and darn cute) was not judgmental and very, very pleasant. When I admitted my weaknesses he often said, “That’s common”, which made me feel much better. Plus he sounded genuine.

So, I left my first consultation with plenty of reading material, a shaker bottle, probiotics, a meal supplement powder drink mix, and 2 must-do’s from Anthony—walk at least 45 minutes per day and to keep a food journal. He also offered anytime support via email or phone.  Which I haven’t used yet, but I’m sure when a brownie or two is calling my name I will have to make that call!

I’m not sharing my weight, but I will say that I’m a size 18 and my ideal size if a 12, but I would settle for 14 right about now…I will update you on my progress with my Pharmaca Weight Challenge in these two areas in my next blog post.
