DIY with Qi: Egg Yolk Mask for Dry Skin

DIY with Qi: Egg Yolk Mask for Dry Skin

Spring is here and no one wants dry skin. Healthy, moisturized skin is my goal for every season. Instead of purchasing an over the counter moisturizer I found a great chemical-free face mask recipe especially for dry skin.

Ingredients for this face mask recipe can be found in your kitchen. Egg Yolk – which contain essential vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, vitamin B2, vitamin B3 and zinc which are great for your skin. Honey - Honey is a natural humectant which means it attracts moisture and locks it into your skin. The last ingredient is Olive Oil – which is one of the oldest natural moisturizers out there and yes it still works.

Ingredients you’ll need are:
1 or 2 Egg yolks (That’s the yellow part of the egg)
1 teaspoon Pure Honey room temperature (darker honey is preferred)
1 teaspoon Olive Oil (extra virgin Olive oil is preferred)
1 container to mix ingredients in
1 fork for mixing everything together

Instructions:
Mix the honey, 1/2 egg yolks and olive oil together until it becomes smooth and a consistent substance.

On a clean face, spread the paste evenly with a facial mask brush, spatula or your clean fingers.
DO NOT PUT THIS NEAR YOUR EYES… keep the eye area clear.

Here comes the easy part… go and relax. Leave the mask on your face for 15-20 minutes
(You’ll start to feel your skin tighten up)

After 15-20 minutes wash off the mask with a soft warm wash cloth. Pat your skin dry with a clean towel and finish up with whatever your normal skin care routine is. Feel free to add a moisturizer/toner if you’d like.

(If you have any left over product please refrigerate it for no more than 3 days.)

This recipe is so easy to do and it is au natural. After using this recipe on my face, my brown skin look absolutely beautiful. The mask gave me a healthy natural glow. My face felt smooth and it was moisturized. Become a Blinging Beauty naturally. Hello Spring and good bye dry itchy skin.

Please note: If you have oily skin, you can use this recipe by simply substituting the egg yolk for egg whites.
