Chelsea’s Choice: CoverGirl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation
Drugstore brand foundations don’t always blend so well with my deep brown skin. I can never seem to get the right color—most are too red or too yellow for my skin tone. And coverage the foundation's coverage isn't always the best. At times, the application looks more like a tinted moisturizer rather than foundation!
On a recent trip to Target, I decided to take a leap of faith and give a drugstore brand a try. I invested all of $9 and some change in CoverGirl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation, and it was money well spent!
Here's the goods on CoverGirl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation:
What it is:
A light formula foundation with a touch of cucumber water and a hint of jojoba and rose hip extracts.
What it does:
A polished finish without the heavy feeling.
My results:
The actual foundation has a great consistency. It is very smooth and feels like silk gliding across your skin. Although the formula is lightweight, it still provides a great deal of coverage with even the lightest application. This foundation blends well, sets quickly and is easy to remove at night. It also contains SPF 10, and protection lasts all day.
CoverGirl Natureluxe Foundation in Brazilnut, number 370, actually matched my skin well! When I began wearing foundation I quickly discovered that I have yellow and red undertones in my brown skin, which is problematic for selecting a foundation.
So as a result, most foundations are too red or give me an ashen appearance. Not so with CoverGirl : Natureluxe in Brazilnut, number 370. There is a good balance of yellow and red, so it looks very natural on my skin.
I love the fact that NatureLuxe foundation lasts all day.
