So it looks as though the latest trend among young, chic starlets is grey hair. I know, I know, a head full of grey does not necessarily sound appealing at first. After all, women and men alike have been desperately trying to avoid going grey for as long as we can all remember! Now, however, is a new day, and celebs from Rihanna to Kelis, Fantasia to Toya Wright have been spotted rocking grey tresses. My personal favorite has been singer/songwriter, Sevyn Streeter. How fabulous are her silver/grey locks?
As beauty lovers, I’m sure we’ve all fantasized one time or another about experimenting with bold hair colors. If you are anything like me, however, you may be too afraid to actually dye your hair! I experimented with hair dye once a long time ago, and let’s just say I’m glad to have left that look in the past! In addition to the color potentially going very wrong, dye can be very drying and damaging to the hair. Well, we are here to share a fun and easy way to rock crazy hair colors without the damage and long-term commitment! What’s even better is that you can find it at your local drug store!
Cream-gel eyeshadow with long-lasting, 24hr wear.
That’s right! You can mimic Sevyn’s gorgeous grey hair with cream eyeshadow! Simply swipe the cream product onto your middle finger and thumb, grab a piece of hair, and swipe the color onto the ends. You can of course take the color as high up toward your roots as you’d like, but I personally kept the color at the ends for a trendy, ombré effect.
After you’ve added your color, you’re ready to go! For added insurance, you can set the cream eyeshadow in place with a little hairspray, however I found that it dries very well on its own. Without hairspray, my silver color lasted an entire week! The best part is that it came right out when I washed my hair!
