    Hi Tracey

I am an indian living in London. I have brown skin so neither the afro-american nor the american make-up shades work for me.. I am in between. Plz guide me with the right shaded for eyes, lips, concealer with brands. Thanks a ton!

How does one determine what shape eyebrow is better suited for their face. For instance I have a round face. Should they be thick, thin, squared, arched. I don’t know.

I have a dilemma. I’ve only had my eyebrows arched once, so I decided to treat myself and do it again. Two days later, my forehead broke out in bumps. Particularly the area just above my eyebrows and upper forehead. Some were kinda big too (yuck!)

I went to my regular hairstylist. What went wrong here? Is this normal?

I would like to know where Tracey got the teal pumps she wore on the Monique show that aired Tuesday, May 10, 2010, East Coast. They were Fantabulous!
    Thanks!

    Hi
I’m from Australia and since reading your post, have been searching everywhere for the ‘Black radiance continuous creme eyeliner’ in black. I can’t find it anywhere online and would really LOVE to buy some. Would you be able to help? If not do you know anyone that can help? Thanks so much for your time 🙂

    Hello ,

While browsing your site, I came across your blog post on plus size
clothing at (http://blingingbeauty.com/?p=3103). I wanted to compliment you on the excellent product writeup. I was wondering if you would consider selling a link from that page to our maternity clothing page on Belly Dance Maternity at (http://www.bellydancematernity.com/). How much will you charge for the link?

    Hello Tracy,
Your description of yourself really reminds me of myself, Hello My name is Anu and i am a Beauty Addict! I know beauty tricks that will impress any makeup artist on any level, however im facing a problem of recent and Aging is the culprit! Go Figure. I find my makeup settling into the slight lines under my eyes AND I HATE IT! I’ve used the Mac primer under my foundation but it still does not improve my look, i’m only 32 and the lines i’m seeing are only slight but i know this is the beginning of a downward spiral……..down being the operative word! i have dark undereye circles and so wearing concealer is a must for me. so i apply my concealer, pat it into place and then set it in with face powder, ive tried leaving out the powder, but it in a hot country like mine, it just ends up running down my face! however once i put on the powder, Horrors! I see signs of aging! and i refuse to go down without a fight!!! i know there are several tricks makeup artists use to counter the dreaded aging eye look so, TRACY……KNOW ANY?

      Hi Anu,

Thanks for taking time to visit my blog. It sounds like you need a three step process for solving your problem.

      1. Are you using an eye cream? If not, I suggest that you start. This is because your eye area needs to be moisturized on a daily basis. Additionally, an eye cream with the corrective ingredients will help “plump” the area around your eye. You said you live in a hot country, so I’m not sure what products are available for you, but look for ingredients like vitamin a, retinol, vitamin e and hyaluronic acid (which holds 1,000 it’s weight in water– thus plumping the skin). Some mass market brands that work well are Garnier Nutritioniste, Olay, Roc and Nutrogena. I’m sure you can find higher end products in department stores or beauty retailers like Sephora. I also love Dr. Brandt Lineless eye cream and Patricia Wexler MD

      2. Use a primer that resurfaces your skin. Most primers include silicone as a primary ingredient. Silicone has the ability to “resurface” the skin, thus eliminating other products from sinking in the lines. Look for either dimethicone or cyclomethicone on the ingredient list. I suggest a face primer that is wearable under the eye also. My favorites are Smashbox and Laura Geller Spackle.

      3. Use a concealer with hydrating, corrective and illuminating properties. Try Make Up For Ever HD Invisible concealer or Clinique All About Eyes Concealer.

      4. Avoid powder under the eye at all costs!

      I hope these tips help!

What do you think about “Permanent” eyeliner? My girlfriend has it and I like it. I was thinking about doing it because I suck at drawing a nice, sexy thin line over my eye lid.

  • TICIA

Would it be to much to use 2 eye products together ? Like one for under eye puffs ,then another to ward off signs of ageing ? dark circles, lines, sagging, ect

    • Tracey

      Hi Ticia

No it wouldn’t be too much to use both. I use a fast acting de-puffer in the mornings and a cream at night. You can find some eye creams that do both. One that I didn’t mention that I want to desperately try is by Patricia Wexler, a dermatologist. Her product line is called wexler md. It’s available at bath & body works in the clinical skincare section. Another one that does it all is Murad vitamin c eye cream. You can use it day and night. You can find it at Sephora, spas and at murad.com.

      Hope that helps!

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
